The challenge

To facilitate intentional togetherness in the regional Atlassian workforce.

 

Working closely with Atlassian’s Global Workplace Experience & Events Team we deliver an annual calendar of impactful and engaging in-person events across Australia and New Zealand. We also apply our creative smarts to global initiatives.

What

An ongoing program of annual events across three key categories:

• ShipIt: Atlassian’s global bi-annual Hackathon, hosted online with an activation in the Melbourne Connection Hub.

• Atlassian on Tour: hosted across ANZ in locations with no official office.

• Hub Happenings: hosted at the Melbourne Connection Hub.

 

Why

All events are designed to support Atlassian’s ‘Team Anywhere’ remote work policy, providing the opportunity for Atlassians to get together, to have fun, and grow connections with colleagues in their local area.

 

How

In cities without a local presence, we curated a dynamic program of events, known as ‘Atlassian on Tour’ (AoT). These events featured exciting and diverse activities, food and beverage offerings, unique event spaces, ice-breaker exercises and other thoughtful experiences to bring people together.

 

For Melbourne Atlassians, we organised Hub Happenings, a week-long series of events followed by bi-monthly gatherings

at the newly launched Connection Hub, creating a vibrant space for connection.

 

For ShipIt, Atlassian’s hackathon, we developed the global creative strategy for their September ‘24 broadcast. Featuring animated slide decks, integrated virtual activities (such as an Atlassian themed ‘Connections’ game!) and an after party toolkit, full of themed activity ideas to be rolled out in India, Amsterdam, Seattle, Sydney, Melbourne, Manilla and San Francisco.

 

The result?
