Gilead

Celebrating with a Sense of Place

For the second consecutive year, we partnered with Gilead to produce its National Business Meeting Awards Gala Evening. Building on the previous year's celebration, we created an immersive event inspired by Torquay and the surrounding Great Ocean Road, transforming the destination into an elegant, sensory experience that celebrated outstanding achievements from the Gilead team.

Challenge

Create an awards celebration that honoured Gilead's highest achievers while authentically reflecting the unique character and natural beauty of the event's location.

Gilead's people are central to delivering on its Creating Possible brand promise. The Creating Possible Awards recognise the individuals and teams whose contributions make that purpose a reality, creating an opportunity to celebrate excellence in a meaningful and memorable way.

Approach

The awards gala seamlessly transitioned from business conference to elegant celebration, creating an immersive experience that honoured Gilead’s people and celebrated the host location. Through considered design, local flavours and sensory details, every element contributed to a sophisticated expression of place.

Key experience elements included:

  • A seamless room transformation between conference and gala, combining three plenary LED screens into one expansive digital canvas with concealed lighting and evolving animated content to create a dynamic visual journey throughout the evening.

  • A textured entrance experience featuring scalloped kraft walls and sculptural, vase-less florals that introduced the evening’s design story.

  • Three distinct table settings inspired by Sand, Burgundy and Deep Ocean Blue, featuring bespoke linens, native floral installations, natural materials and signature scents.

  • A produce-first menu celebrating Western Victoria, showcasing Western Plains pork, Colac lamb and dairy, and Bannockburn chicken.

  • A 360° video activation framed by native Victorian coastal greenery.

  • A high-energy finale with Midnight Mix delivering a dancefloor-filling set to close the celebration.

Outcome

The event achieved 94% positive feedback in the post-event survey, with attendees praising the meaningful awards program, exceptional styling, entertainment and attention to detail.

Testimonial

"The gala dinner was amazing. I loved the entertainment. The location was so beautifully decorated, and the hosts and awards were meaningful and perfectly timed. The band was awesome. The flowers and the information on the menus about the flowers were a beautiful touch, and having three distinct arrangements made them even more stunning."
